Mobile Home Mice

After the winter passed, summer came. This is where having a manufactured home in the country becomes a problem.

Let me explain something to you. the pipes and all fixtures where pipes go through have a space, or a gap where the pipe has to go through to go under the house. Meaning this hole where the pipe has to go through has a gap that allows for insects, spiders, hell even snakes or rats to come through from under your house.

During the summertime as I slept during the night I would begin to hear noises. things running through the walls all kinds of stuff. I would wake up and go out into all this space and see nothing. it wasn’t until one day I went to get a pan from under the kitchen cabinet when I noticed little droppings and noticed the gap between the pipes where the they water would go under the house.
I moved a pan and ZOOM… a little mouse flew into the gap under the house.

I quickly went out and got a set of mousetraps.. thinking it was just one I put it under the cabinet with all of the others.

I found out after 2 days that every one of the 4 traps I purchased had a mouse in it.

To make a long story short after about 1 month I had killed over 10 mice… I was told later that when bushes begin to grow back up and grow around things near the house mice will make their way into your home to stay warm or to get out of the heat. I began placing things all in the gaps but it was no help, they would chew through anything I stuffed those holes with.

I bought some feed and placed it all around the house which eventually got rid of them. well not feed but poison.
